Triangle symbol in coffee grounds and tea leaves

A triangle drawn inside a cup, from Velvet Omen’s cup symbols

Talent · Opportunity · Balance

What does a triangle mean in a coffee cup or tea leaves?

Traditionally, a triangle pointing up is a lucky sign of success; pointing down, a plan that needs care. A triangle can reflect three things in balance, or a talent ready to rise.

A question for reflection

Which talent of yours is ready to be used?

One small step

Use one of your strengths deliberately today.

Where the triangle sits in the cup

Near the rim: talent in what is close to you now, or soon.
On the sides: talent in what is developing over the coming weeks.
At the bottom: talent in what is settled, further away, or deep in the past.
Near the handle: talent in you, your home, and the people close to you.
Opposite the handle: talent in other people, and the wider world.

A clear shape counts for more than a faint one. Families and readers differ, so treat these as starting points.
