How does a yes or no tarot reading work?

Hold one clear question in mind, shuffle, and draw a single card. Many readers sort the 78 cards into those that lean yes, those that lean no, and those that say “not yet clear”. The card’s leaning, its meaning, and your own reaction to it are all part of the reading.

Which tarot cards mean yes, and which mean no?

Bright, forward-moving cards such as The Sun, The Star, and the Ace of Cups traditionally lean yes. Cards of disruption or pain, such as The Tower and the Three of Swords, lean no. Cards of pause and uncertainty, such as The Hanged Man and The Moon, say “not yet clear”. Readers differ; this is one common convention.

What questions work best?

Questions about your own choices and next steps, such as “Should I sign up for the course?” or “Is it a good time to ask for feedback?”. Avoid questions about what another person thinks or plans, and never use a card in place of medical, legal, or financial advice.

Can a yes or no tarot reading predict the future?

No. Nothing shows that cards can predict events or know the answer to a question. Here, the card’s leaning is a mirror: notice whether you feel relieved or disappointed, because that feeling often shows what you already want.

What does “not clear yet” mean?

It means the card leans neither way. It can be a nudge to wait, to gather more information, or to ask a narrower question. Drawing again and again until you get the answer you want usually says more about your wish than about the cards.

Is the reading free and private?

Yes. It is free, with no account. Your question and card stay in this browser tab and are never sent or stored.
