What does a ship mean in a coffee cup or tea leaves?

Traditionally, a ship promises a journey, or news and good things arriving from far away. A ship can reflect a journey, inner or outer, and what you would like to move towards.

A question for reflection

Where would you like to go, in life or in the world?

One small step

Plan one small journey, even a walk somewhere new.

Where the ship sits in the cup

Near the rim: travel in what is close to you now, or soon.
On the sides: travel in what is developing over the coming weeks.
At the bottom: travel in what is settled, further away, or deep in the past.
Near the handle: travel in you, your home, and the people close to you.
Opposite the handle: travel in other people, and the wider world.

A clear shape counts for more than a faint one. Families and readers differ, so treat these as starting points.

The ship in Lenormand

The same picture appears as a Lenormand card: see the Ship Lenormand card, read in pairs with its neighbours.
