Sun, Moon & rising signs.

What is the difference between Sun, Moon, and rising signs?

The Sun sign is traditionally linked with your core identity, the Moon sign with your emotions and needs, and the rising sign with how you meet the world. Together they are often called your Big Three.

What are the elements and modalities?

Each sign belongs to an element (fire, earth, air, or water) and a modality (cardinal, fixed, or mutable). Fire is linked with energy, earth with practicality, air with ideas, and water with feeling; cardinal signs begin, fixed signs sustain, and mutable signs adapt.

Is astrology scientific?

No. Astrology is a symbolic tradition, and studies have not found that signs describe personality or predict events. Read these placements as prompts for reflection.
